Tap the Post tab at the bottom of the screen. Pick your listing type (Goods, Equipment Rental, Skills, or Experiences). Add a title, description, and photos. Choose whether it is available locally or for shipping. Publish. It takes less than two minutes.
There are four: Goods (physical items you trade permanently), Equipment Rental (tools and gear you lend temporarily), Skills (services you offer), and Experiences (guided activities, training, consultations, or property access).
Goods are traded permanently. You give the item and the other person keeps it. Equipment Rental is temporary. The borrower uses it and returns it after an agreed period.
Trading
Find something you want and tap "Propose Trade." Describe or attach what you are offering in return. Pick local or shipping and send it directly to the other user. The other person can accept, decline, or send a counter offer. You negotiate directly until you both agree, then coordinate the exchange on your own.
Yes. When proposing a trade, you can describe what you are offering in text, attach one or more of your own listings, or do both.
Before a trade is accepted, you can withdraw your proposal. If you want to adjust the terms, use the counter offer feature to modify what is being offered.
If someone proposes a trade and you like the idea but want to adjust the terms, tap Counter. Modify what is being offered and send it back. Go back and forth until you both agree.
Users may choose to include cash as part of their arrangements. Any financial details are negotiated and handled entirely between users. Smart Barter does not process, hold, or facilitate payments of any kind.
After an exchange, each person can leave a 1-5 star review with optional tags and a written comment. Reviews are visible on your profile and help build trust in the community.
Referral & Giveaway
Share your referral code with friends. When they download Smart Barter, enter your code at signup, and complete their profile, you both earn an entry. Every week, one winner is picked at random. The more friends you refer, the more entries you get.
Yes. If you enter a friend's referral code during signup, you get one entry into the next Weekly Giveaway after completing your profile. Your friend gets one too.
That is fine. You just will not get a giveaway entry from signing up, but you can start earning entries right away by sharing your own code with friends.

Safety & Privacy
Yes. Your email address, exact home address, and phone number are never shown to other users. Only your display name, general city or area, and profile photo are visible.
Your activity and reviews are visible on your profile to help build trust. Private details remain private and only you can see those.
You can report a user, a listing, or a chat message at any time. Tap the flag icon or the three-dot menu on any profile, listing detail, or chat message and select Report. The team reviews all reports.
Smart Barter prohibits sex-related listings, drugs and drug-related items, and firearms or weapons of any kind. Listings with restricted content will be blocked from publishing.
When you delete your account, it is immediately deactivated and hidden from other users. You have 7 days to change your mind by logging back in and tapping Reactivate. After 7 days, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Premium
7-day trial with full access to all Premium features. No ads, boosted listings, see who viewed your listings, list in any city, up to 6 profile links, and saved favorites. You will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel anytime before then and you pay nothing.
Cancel anytime through your device settings. iPhone: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Smart Barter. Android: Google Play Store > Subscriptions > Smart Barter. After cancelling, you keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period.
All your listings, trades, messages, and reviews stay exactly the same. Existing listings keep their custom locations. You will just see ads again, your listings will not be boosted, your profile will show only 1 link instead of 6, you will not be able to list in new cities, and you will not be able to save new favorites.

Premium members can see exactly who is checking out their listings: the viewer's name, photo, and when they visited. Free users can see the total view count but not who specifically viewed. This lets you reach out directly to interested traders.
Your listings automatically get priority placement in the discovery feed and search results. They appear higher than similar listings from free users. No "Promoted" label. It just quietly helps more people find what you are offering.
Premium members can tap the heart on any listing to save it for later. Build a list of things you want to trade for and come back to them anytime.
